Ive gotten "The six core processor isn't needed for gaming; few if any games make use of even four cores. Get an X4 955 BE instead. I'd get a better motherboard, something that supports SATA III and USB 3.0. Then you could get a SATA III HDD like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... And you should see if you can squeeze in a superior Radeon 5850 video card instead of the 5830... " as advice on this build so far. Can anyone smooth out the edges for me and give me an updated finished build?

yes 6 core is overkill for gaming

go with a 955 BE

and go with a mobo that supports SATA III and USB 3 and go with 5850

what games are you playing and what res?

Recommendation on a specific mobo? Single 5850 i presume?
I want to play WoW, SC II, Final Fantasy14 when it comes out, Swtor, new games coming out soon, pretty much most games everyone plays lol. Really the ability to play any game i want. Ive held off on gaming for about a year because my old pc died so i want to play every game ive missed out on while ive been busy playing all my old favorite ps2 games lol.

High resolution at least 1600x1200 to 1920 if i end up buying a new monitor.

the mobo i recommended in my second post is good enough
