In a video........i saw that the max power by gtx 470 is 435W............my psu has 2 12v rails with 18A each so thats 432W...............so will it work ????
u ppl sugg me buyin a new psu..............but that was before i saw this video...........so do u ppl stand ur opinion still ??????

I guess your PSU is about 500W, right?
Seeing you has 2x 12V rails with 18A on each, then you'll push that PSU to it's limit, agree with rolli59, upgrade your PSU... Do not cheap on PSU, it's the most important part on your system. :)

same question for u............(as for wiinippongamer)

If your PSU has 360 watts or more for the +12volt rail combined it will run a HD5870. Adding up the rails like you did before is not the correct way. If you can not find it tell us the brand and model.
HD5870 is a big investment to risk running on a marginal PSU.

the page u mentioned......................i couldnt figure out the diff between peak & max power.........

and the watts given are for a single 12V rail i think......
so for gtx 470 its..........
peak - 171
max - 232

(How much can my psu supply ?? plz temme.......)

so i think my psu has just 18 A on 1 12v rail while 470 requires 19A............so it adds upto 38A...........

THATS BAD BAD BAD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!

isnt it??!!!!!!............. just 1A diff !!!!!!!!(2 if u combine....)

also considering price : performance which card is bttr ?????
(taking into account PhysX , OpenGL , reliability , problem free, and drivers)

5850 , 5870 or gtx 470 ???

All of those cheap 5850's don't have voltage control and will overclock like ass. There's no point to buy one without it. All 470's have voltage control and will overclock like a mofo

You can't say that like its fact, You and I both know every chip has different overclocking limits

My first HD5850 got to 922/1250 on stock voltage, but my second HD5850 only managed 805/1200. + not everyone overclocks and certainly not to the extent of wanting to mess around with voltages.
