So I think its time I upgraded my pc to keep with the times.
Im running a :

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 2048MB DDR2 RAM

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 260
Display Memory: 1648 MB
Dedicated Memory: 881 MB
Shared Memory: 767 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Monitor Model: LG TV

and I've been thinking about upgrading to an i7 at least, and il need to upgrade my motherboard and RAM to do so.
I've had my eye on :

Intel Core i7 970 3.2GHz LGA1366 Processor - 3.46GHz TB; 6x256kb L2; 12MB L3; 6 Core 12 Thread

Corsair DDR3-2000 12GB (3x4GB) Dominator GT with DHX Pro Connector and Airflow II Fan Memory Module Kit

running on

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 IX58 Motherboard w/A8 + 2LK + FWa + USB3 + SATA6 RAID

Any ideas if this setup will work and be compatible, especially with regards to the speed and voltage of the RAM?
*Keep in mind its going to be used primarily for gaming and that im not really an overclocker, so i wont really need any OC features

You don't want to build on s1366. You want to build on s1155.

It would be cheaper, faster, and overclock better.
