Can you provide some printscreens?

Try msconfig. press winkey>>type msconfig>> hit enter
got to boot>> advanced options>>number of processors. make sure it's set to 4.

lets go:
screens:
windows gadget

CPU-Z

Task Manager

Everest BIOS

Everest Processor

Everest CPUID

Dispositives manager

Everest MoBo

Since a updated BIOS it no longer show the no. of processors, but before that, it shown only 2 to. (because of that i updated it in the first place)
At MSCONFIG i can choose a maximum of 2 processors.

I thought that could be a error iof the processor, but if was true i could't see 4 cores in the dispositives Manager, right?

I recommend you try my earlier suggestion, since windows itself seems to be aware that there are 4 cores in the device manager but only allows the use of 2 cores.

I've played around with msconfig to disable cores. When cores are disabled, it will only list the number of cores that were previously enabled. For example, if you have disabled 2 cores, that drop down list will only show 2 cores, not 4 just like in your picture. You have to uncheck the "Number of Processors" box to get all four cores back.

Can you verify that when you have unchecked the box in msconfig that you are still seeing only 2 cores?

Core 2 Quads are essential two dual core dies slapped together on a single package. It may be that one of your dies was just faulty. I'd try and return the CPU calming it was faulty.
