Built my first PC earlier this year. When buying parts, I made the mistake of buying a lesser known PSU (hec x-power 650W PSU) for a cheaper price. Well about a week ago when I went to start my PC, It wouldn't turn on with left me to believe that the PSU died.

Picked up an Antec 500w PSU and tried it, and the PC booted up successfully. Only problem is that after a little while (couple hours later), the fan would just stop spinning and the entire PC would shut off.

Was under the impression that maybe the PSU was too weak and I needed something stronger. So I ordered an Antec Earthwats 650w PSU which came earlier today and after hooking up my PC, I'm still getting "CPU Fan Error Press F1 to continue" message.

I've tried cleaning the heatsink and fan and made sure everything is plugged in properly. Still new to all of this so I'm thinking maybe I overlooked something. Not sure what else I should do..

Any advice you guys could give would be greatly appreciated.
