Hello

I was running 197.45 driver, then i uninstalled it via Driver Sweep, the driver was not showing up in Add /Remove programs.

So i installed the latest 257.21 Driver. Everything installed fine, restarted the PC, recieved a BSOD just before the Windows XP Logo should have appeared.

My Specs:

■Operating System
MS Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3
■CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz 48 °C
Wolfdale 45nm Technology
■RAM
4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz (6-6-6-18)

■Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. EP35-DS3L (Socket 775)
■Graphics
SyncMaster @ 1680x1050
512MB GeForce 8800 GT (XFX Pine Group) 70 °C
■Hard Drives
488GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00A7B0 (IDE) 47 °C
■Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GE20LU10 USB Device
BENQ DVD DD DW1620
■Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

So i reverted back to 197 driver by restoring the system.

Can anyone help ?

I havent tried the 258.69 driver, are they in beta ?

Yes and they may not fix the issue as they as they are being touted for the inclusion of Surround Vision which does not affect our cards in any way but again I have had no issues with them on W7 or Vista32 but I have yet to try them on the XP install.

I have already tried that method with the same BSOD result.

I have decided to upgrade to Windows 7.
