Hey guys I am buying a laptop with the following config:

core i3 350m 3m cache 2.26GHz
3gb ddr3 ram
320gb 5400 rpm sata hdd
ati 5470 1gb dedicated graphics
15.6" WLED screen

this is costing me around $850.

and I have another option to upgrade it and get the following things extra.

core i3 350m 3m cache 2.4GHz
4gb ddr3 ram
320gb 7200 rpm sata hdd
backlit keyboard

If i would get the latter option it will cost me around $120 extra. That makes it $970.

I want to know whether the difference of hardly 200MHz and 5400rpm hard drive instead of the 7200 rpm hdd will make much of a difference.

backlit keyboard is not a top priority!

btw.. i forgot to mention that the laptop will be used only for applications like autocad(which ever is the latest), some GIS software for architecture and some office apps.

I intend to use the laptop for the next 3 years at least.
