batuchka i notice you like that gtx 460 and 600w combo supply a lot.. is the gtx 460 fermi miles ahead of the 4870? Ive heard that the 4870 is just as good and in some cases better than the hd 5770 (most common budget gpu i see on here..) for less money..can you give me some insight please

With current pricing GTX 460 is a better buy than a HD 5830 One should only consider HD 4870 if there exists combos u can't say no to or if u could nab it under say the $12x mark

Batuchka,

You've posted on some of my other builds, whats your thought on this build, does this offer some future proofing upgradeable options? Is this system build overkill for light gaming (SCII), surfing the net, MS Office multitasking, and other general use purposes or is this a solid build for those needs? Seems like $450 is about as low as I can get a build to go with middle of the road parts, so this $650 build seems like its worth the extra $200!?

I would say, for the given res and game the smallish top up to a GTX 460 config is well worth it ^^

Any chance you can repost that image so that I can make out the build a bit easier? :bounce:  It says click to zoom in but that does not work for me?
