Which PSU to Buy 750TX or XFX Black 850w

I am looking to get a new PSU and i am looking at either the 750TX (maybe the 750HX but i dont need modularity) or the respectable XFX Black Edition Versions the 750 or 850W I am not super knowledgable about PSU's

so heres my current system

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
Asus m489gt 890GX Mobo
2x2GB (4gb) DDR3 1600mhz Patriot i5 G Series RAM
Win 7 64bit OS
HAF 922 case
currently on a EVGA 9800GTX 1gb GPU however i will be more then likely upgrading to the new ATI 6k series when the launch I would like a PSU that will be able to allow me to crossfire these cards in the future as well (or using current cards i guess a 5850 or 5870....i heard the 6k series is actually more effecient and less power hungry then the 5k series)

So based on these recommendations which should i go 750TX or the XFX 850w

id like to stick to corsair or XFX because i can get a pretty good price on them atm through local vendors (all prices in Canadian and there will be NO Shippy fee because they are local)

750TX for about 85-99$ CDN
750HX for about 129-139$ CDN
850TX for about 129$ CDN

The 750w XFX Black is 135$ CDN
the 850w XFX Black is 139$ CDN

I might be overclocking the CPU at a later date and I would like to be able to crossfire the 5800 series cards or the future 6k series equivalents

so basically ive narrowed it down to 2 PSUs based on the price

either the Corsair 750tx if i decide to get 750w because its 85$ @ NCIX
or
the XFX Black Edition 850w (119$ after MIR at NCIX)

the 750hx is 129$ and the xfx 750 is 115$
the 850tx is also 129$ @ ncix

so based on priceerformance the obvious 2 choices are either the 750TX or the XFX 850w now its deciding how much power i need

750W is plenty for a rig like that. The HX is modular, while the TX is not; that's essentially the only difference. If that feature is worth $30 to you then go with the HX; if not then go with the TX.

ok what about the XFX vs. Corsair debate

the XFX's are a bit more money but have great reviews but heck the 750tx has been a PSU backbone forever.....is it good enough? On the PSU link the 750/850TX are ranked 2 on their respective lists while the 750HX and the XFX Versions are #1 (which i guess reflects the prices) and i guess my debate is do i need 750w or 850w cuz from the looks of it at 750w the 750tx is a great buy but at 850w id be silly not to get the XFX

From what I know, the XFX 750 is made by Seasonic, the 750TX is made by CWT, get the first one.

top i updated prices/choices

i narrowed it down to the

Corsair 750TX for 85$ after MIR
or
XFX Black 850w for 119$ after MIR

(all the others are pretty much the same price of the XFX black after MIRS so it doesnt make sense to get a 750HX for the same price as the XFX 850 and the XFX750 is 5$ less only....the 850tx just isnt worth it period)

I'd say the corsair. Both are very good PSUs, but you really don't need to pay the extra $35 for the wattage you won't be needing.

i nabbed the XFX 850w Black Edition this thing is a BEAST and quiet too

the 750tx prob woulda sufficed my needs but i kinda am happy i went the XFX cuz its modular and the 750tx isnt (the hx is but the 750hx was only 10$ less then the XFX and the XFX has some of the best reviews on the market)
