UT2004 benchmark: how to?

I'm trying to get the damned benchmark out of this game, i've also upgraded
to 3204 (that is the only patch containing the benchmark.exe file) and then
to 3270 (think it's the last one, isn't it?).
The benchmark starts, but i get a stuck image of Antalus map... shouldn't it
work as a demo mode just as in the past editions? If i move the player in a
dethmatch-like mode, how can the frame measurement be reliable and always
the same?
Help me, i'd like to bench this old video card before getting the new one.
Thanx very much.

The benchmark is broken in that too.

yep :-(

So, how could they ever measure framerate in the numerous video card
reviews,
still remains a mistery...for now i'll make the test reinstalling 2k3 and
using unreal last known working benchmark.

They have special 3rd party tools for that.

Use UMark. http://www.unrealmark.com/

It's a GUI front-end to the built-in benchmarking tools. It does a
great job.

You're welcome.

I talked to the developer and he's hard at work on a new version, so
keep checking back for an update. Supposedly, the new version will
allow you to use your own demos for benchmarking.
