Minimum transfer size for SSD.

Hello,
I am writing a option rom for AHCI SSD controller. When I issue a write command, if the write size is greater than 4KB then data is written into SSD and if the size is less than 4KB then data is not written into SSD. Please let me know what could be the possible reason.

? Sounds like a bad homework problem.

Why would you do this? If I want to save a 1k notepad file, why would you write a driver that prevents me from doing that?
