Menlo - Microsoft Released Mysterious Phone System

Microsoft’s Menlo might be new mobile OS aimed at smartphones and tablets. Microsoft has seemed very confused about their smartphone strategy over the past few months. Windows Phone 7 is on the horizon, but Microsoft jumped the gun on that OS by releasing (then almost immediately canceling) the teen-oriented Kin.

Now it looks like Microsoft’s at work on yet another smartphone operating system
internally, codenamed Menlo, and a recently leaked research paper gives us our first hint of what Menlo actually is.
