Hi everyone! This is my first post on here I've always have enjoyed reading the forums and reviews and decided to become a member. Now I need to build a friend of mine who is into AUTOCAD. He came to me with a $500 budget and I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to put parts together. If you guys could help that would def take this headache away. The system would be built this week. I need everything but the OS keyboard mouse monitor. just the tower itself. This is where it gets tricky he needs 6gb ram and when i try to configure a system i always have to burn something to get something better. Just really frustrating any help at all I would appreciate it.

I do realize that this does'nt support triple channel RAM though, but for that, (3 X 2 GB), you'll need a more expensive mobo, thereby sacrificing processing power I guess.

Either you're gonna go way over budget (as it is, you are already) or you've to find some way of finding an "onofficial" way of getting the OS, thereby increasing your hardware budget.

EDIT : Upendra is right though. If he can keep his Case, PSU, HDD and ODD, he can get his 6GB.

At least the Case & PSU maybe?

I actually told him what we could and couldn't do with the budget he gave me. And now he gave me a decent $750 and I put this together tell me what you think

Intel Core i5 750 Processor Boxed

MSI H55-G43 LGA 1156 H55 ATX Motherboard

Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition ATX Mid Tower Case

OCZ Technology ModXStream Pro 500 Watt ATX EPS12V Modular Power Supply

OCZ Technology OCZ Gold XTC 6GB (3X2GB) DDR3-1333 (PC3-10666) CL 9 240-Pin DIMM Triple Channel Kit

XFX Radeon HD5670 512MB DDR5 PCIe 2.1 x16 Graphics Card

And if I posted it wrong I'm sorry kinda new to this. The total came out to $730.00
