Best =<100$ SSD?

Hello Guys I was looking to buy an SSD for around 100$ maybe 105 but that is stretching it. I would prefer it be 128GB Sata 3 :). I have been looking into the 830 Series and Kingston but Any other recommendations and are the brands I mentioned any good?

  1. I recommend the Samsung 830 solid state drive. Samsung has a stellar track record of good performance and reliability.

    If you are in the USA and shop carefully you can sometimes find one on sale for $79.99. You just have to be patient and wait for another sale.
  2. I'm using the Crucial M4, I bought it for like 104$ a few weeks ago for my first build. It's really good. http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-Inch-Solid-State-CT128M4SSD2/dp/B004W2JKZI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352062536&sr=8-2&keywords=crucial+m4
    It went down by a few dollars ;P
    It's an awesome SSD, I recommend getting it.

    Yes, Crucial is the other company I recommend. The Crucial m4 is a popular ssd. This year Crucial has been leading the pack with some really good price reductions. Crucial is able to do that because their parent company is Micron, a major manufacturer of NAND flash memory used in ssd's and other chips.

    I maintain the ssd database listed in the sticky at the very top opf this forum section. Here is the link:

    Scroll down to the Samsung and Crucial sections and follow the links to the technical reviews. You can also check out any other brands and models you are interested in.
  4. Thanks for info, I guess I will go for the 830 after looking at reviews. :)-Hopefully they will be on sale although right now they are out of stock :(
