Hello Guys I was looking to buy an SSD for around 100$ maybe 105 but that is stretching it. I would prefer it be 128GB Sata 3 :). I have been looking into the 830 Series and Kingston but Any other recommendations and are the brands I mentioned any good?

Yes, Crucial is the other company I recommend. The Crucial m4 is a popular ssd. This year Crucial has been leading the pack with some really good price reductions. Crucial is able to do that because their parent company is Micron, a major manufacturer of NAND flash memory used in ssd's and other chips.

I maintain the ssd database listed in the sticky at the very top opf this forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the Samsung and Crucial sections and follow the links to the technical reviews. You can also check out any other brands and models you are interested in.

I recommend the Samsung 830 solid state drive. Samsung has a stellar track record of good performance and reliability.

If you are in the USA and shop carefully you can sometimes find one on sale for $79.99. You just have to be patient and wait for another sale.
