Headphone microphone driver for PC

i've been trying to connect my phone headphones to the PC i hear hear the sound of the other person on the chat but my microphone doesnt work with my system. could you tell me how i could get it working

Typically, mics don't require drivers. You do have to enable the mic in your Volume Mixer. Right click on the speaker icon in your taskbar and you should find what you are looking for. Good luck.

First of all, what OS are you using? I assume it's Windows but is it an XP, Vista or 7?

To make it easier, I'll post the setup pictures for the intended OS, since pictures can be easier to understand.

What type of headphone? USB? 3.5mm? Headset?

If by "phone headphones" you mean a headset with one plug, that won't work on your PC (separate jacks for audio in/out). You may be able to find some kind of adapter to split out the microphone but I don't know if that's something that exists.

Probably easiest is to go buy a cheap analog or USB microphone and use that.
