so i just got a hd 5770 and i've been getting terrible performance. So i've tested 3 games. amd phenom quad(2.2Ghz) core- wow runs at about 13-20 frames on low ( under load about 5 frames) , trackmania nations- Normal settings about 21 frames. BFBC2 med-high settings about 17-35 (no aa). So i put in my old dual core. amd Athlon X2(2.2Ghz). wow runs at like 25-50 frames low-med settings. trackmania Maxxed out with AAX16 i run 29 frames average. bfbc2 ran a little worse i was at like 20 on the same settings. So what the heck? People say my quad bottlenecks my card. then i put in this crappy X2 and I get way better performance on trackmania and wow? What gives i just don't understand...?

Then your quad cpu is going bad/defective...
Have you tried to update the motherboard driver/BIOS?

well. It's been acting like this for a while. It's weird. Battlefield still ran better on it though. But um I'm actually looking now. cause this mobo is brand spanking new. and windows 7 auto-updated them. But some of them say 2006.. so yeah... Something in windows aint right haha. i'm looking on asus's site as we speak...
