Dual monitors, graphics card problems?

Hello, my graphics card isn't allowing dual displays. The HD 5830, is being shown as HD 4290 under directX diagnostic tool. ANd a second monitor plugged in via dvi to vga isn't being recognised. Thanks.

what is the first monitor plugged into? what is your current desktop resolution for the first monitor?
