One of my friends lives in a fairly remote house a few miles from the nearest village and has an appalling internet connection. One problem she has is that whenever someone turns on the television the router loses it's connection and she can't access the internet, however slowly, until the tv is turned back off again.
Is this likely to be a router/hardware issue which might be possible to fix or is it just a result of having such a limited connection? I don't have her router details on hand but can probably find them if required.
Thanks for any help.

Are they using a wireless router and a video sender -- if so relocate sender away from router or computer.
If using ADSL internet also make sure the phone lines are filtered according to instructions from ISP.
