My CPU Fan appears to have failed on mine. I still have the original
Toshiba load of Windows XP on the system, and after coming into
Windows XP a dialog comes up saying "System Warning", "Warning: A
problem with the cooling system has been detected. Please turn off
the computer immediately, and return it for service."
Joy. I am from the USA and traveling in South America. This is my
backup laptop, at least I have a trusty IBM ThinkPad as my main one.
I'm assuming the message means the CPU fan has failed, as I don't hear
it. Has anyone attempted repair on this as a do-it-yourself job?
Thanks.
