No AHCI option in BIOS. Is my computer default in AHCI or IDE?

Hello,

I recently bought an ssd for my laptop (HP DM1 4010, but when i went to install windows there was no option in my BIOS for the SATA controller (to switch between IDE and AHCI Mode). Is there anyway to tell if my computer has defaulted to AHCI or IDE? Some people have been mentioning looking up the SATA controller in the device manager, but I still wasn't sure after looking at mine (I would post a picture, but i can't seem to find a way to imbed the picture into the post)

If you have AHCI enabled it should be shown in Device Manager under
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
