BSOD power state failure windows 8

Hi. I have an Asus ultrabook S56CM. After using it for a month, I am getting the blue screen every time I put the laptop into standby mode. I am on Windows 8. This never occurred in the past until after I update my Windows8.

I used Bluescreenviewer and it reading the dump file, the cause is ntoskrnl.exe, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

I have placed the dmp file here.

I appreciate any help! I have spent hours looking around for a solution. :( Thank you in advance!

  1. It could be a software issue for which i would recommend system restore , but it could be failing hardware also. Try using PCWIZARD (Google it) to check hardware.
