Computer does turn off

Hey, i have this problem that occurs now and again, I turn my computer off as normal but sometimes it doesnt turn off.

Like the monitor goes off but everything else in the tower is still on. It doesnt happen all the time sometimes it just powers off fine.

Im running windows 7 64bit..

It didnt use to happen i've noticed recently it does it now and again. Nothing major just wondering how i can fix it.

What is shown on the Screen when turning off?

What motherboard do you have? I've heard of this issue on some Asus motherboards and it was fixed with a BIOS update.

Ther is nothing on screen its just like the monitors off,

and i have the PK5C motherboard,
Q9400 3.2ghz,
3870 x2
4gb corsair dominator ddr3
corsair 1000w psu

its never done it b4 just recently ive noticed it does it now and again

If not a motherboard problem, perhaps a small glitch in the PSU.
