Need some help from a sound card guru.

I won a X-Fi™ Forte 7.1 Low Profile PCI Express Sound Card ( http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-fi_forte.php ) in a drawing. It came "as is", just the card (no cables). The card works great on my headphones, but I am unable to use quad, 5.1....because it didnt come with this---> http://www.auzentech.com/site/images/xfiforte/images/analogcable_lg.jpg . Customer service is non-existent at this company. Is that plug proprietary? Am I stuck just using 2.1?

Yep! you need that cable for 5.1.
Great card though i have one.
Only use 2.1 on my system though because that's what i prefer.
Auzentech support isn't as bad as you think.
I recently had an enquiry and was completely satisfied within 5 days.
Maybe i was lucky.

Is there a way I can use that RCA-jack-lookin thing? Is that an optical?

I knew that was comin'.
and yes that's the optical and i guess you could always use and external A/V reciever for 5.1.
