hello,

I have just purchased a compaq armada 1750 off ebay and it comes
preinstalled with Windows 98 and I was told that it can run XP. I read
a forum message on the internet that if you format your hard disk to
do a clean install, you have to reinstall the bios or something like
that.

I am asking anyone that knows about this to please email me and give
me the instructions on how to deploy the compaq bios utility. And to
also tell me what ROMpaq or SoftPAQ to download to make this
availible.

I also just purchased an Armada 1750 from eBay, but i have now installed
XP Pro. wouldn't a thread here help others more than emails to you
personally? Are you having success?
