whenever i turn on my mic 2 select my subwoofer starts roaring in high pitch and when i deselect that option my speaker volme goes low comparatively to that.what could be the problem or gud setting to use my subwoofer safe and best perfoming.

Depending upon your motherboard (you haven't specified which motherboard you have), the audio sockets may be used for multiple purposes. For example, the green one is often used for headphones, or for front left/right speakers.

I think it's likely that "Mic 2" is also used for "Subwoofer out" on your motherboard - you can have one or the other, but not both.

You will have to consult your motherboard manual to learn if this is the case.

what about the volume settings option in win xp which one to choose for 2.1 channel speakers??
