Whats your budget for an upgrade? It looks like your CPU needs the upgrade the most but its probably not a good choice to upgrade to another 775 CPU these days so you will probably need a new motherboard, ram, and OS installation.

How much would that cost? $400?

The GPU is fine for now, though for the cash spent on the Core 2 Extreme, Id reather just go AM3+870+DDR3.
ASRock 870 Mobo $90: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Phenom X4 955 + 4GB DDR3 $235: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

If you still have some money leftover, get anther 4870 to crossfire if you want to.

Nevermind, didn't see your post.

for $50, youre pretty limited in options, you could sell your current CPU+Mobo+RAM for $120 and get something alright for that price, but Ill just say OC for now and save up more cash.

Not with your CPU. a $70 Athlon X3 will blow that thing away.

I like that word, :pt1cable:

Heres a good guid for C2D OCing, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/259899-29-core-overcl...
The basic goal is to up the FSB in the BIOS so the CPU can run faster.

No, but there's plenty of nice European retailers depending on where you live.

Pfuu..i think i was recommending parts to a Bulgarian guy on a forum, let me see if i can find it, there is a good site.
Sorry, i did not find the topic.
I would go like this, get another 2Gb kit of the exact same RAM and overclock your CPU to 3GHz for now, until you save some more money to buy a nice CPU cooler for a higher overclock, the motherboard can handle it.

Is this your motherboard? http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2295

You can find on Google how to overclock your CPU with your motherboard.
I suggest an adult to oversee your progress so that you won't mess up something. in the manual form the motherboard you should also find explanations on what to do and where.

Basically you need to rise the FSB and the voltage if necessary, lock the PCI-E freq to 100, and change the ratio to your ram from bios.
A lower ratio would give you room to overclock the CPU because when you rise the FSB you also rise the speed of the RAM.

After overclocking you will have to download prime95 and do a stress test, blend if possible for your system for 24 ores without stooping. If the PC shuts dawn, restarts or gives errors wile testing then the overclock is not stable. Probably it needs more voltage.

Somebody should help you not to ruin your PC.
