No Display, No Sound...

Hello,
I'm not sure which category this should be placed in, so I'm sorry if this has been mis-placed...

I recently started having what I can only assume is a system error whereby frequently and seemingly randomly my sound and display both cut out.

I can still hear the fans and the hard drive... and I have tried disconnecting and re-connection the monitor cable to no effect.

When I restart - without any issues - nothing seems to have been negatively impacted... Windows doesn't advise me of any error, or any need to check disks, etc

The only thing I can think of is that there's an issue with something overheating; you see the PCI slots on the motherboard are less than an inch apart and there's the graphics card, a serial ata pci card and sound card...

Please advise.

Kind regards,
KV

So after that, does your PC boot normally?

Did you check the temps?
Make sure all of components are free from dust...
