Can someone please help me. I am currently setup to share a Dialup Connection thru 1 of the computer which is connected to the Internet 24/7.
I am planning to upgarde to a DSL connection. I already have router installed. I have a WinME, a Win2000, and a WinXp at home that are all connected to the Win2000 machine which is connected to the Internet 24/7 thru a Dialup Connection.
Can someone please guide me to the step of how to upgarde and setup to DSL and share the Connection thru the Win2000. I think SBC is going to give me an external DSL modem, and I will put it where my Win2000 is. Please help....

You could use ICS, but if I were you I would share the connection through the router rather than through your windows 2000 machine(providing, of course, it is a DSL router you are using).

I shouldn't even mentioned WIn2000. I have a DSL/Cable Rounter. I just want to know how to set it up so that all Machine will be able to access the Internet. I have it all network together. I would like to know the setting.

Its easy, plug in you computers and internet connection to the router. Using one of your computers type in the IP address of your router in the internet search bar (normally 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) then press enter. This will take you to the router configuration page where you can set up your internet connection.

Note: you can either assign static IP address to each computer in the range 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x or get your router to assign IP address dynamically (recommmended).
