Does anyone have experience with "Ethernet Extenders"?

The second one is the one that I'm probably most interested in. I need to go a good distance, very likely would be over 300 feet so I'm looking for options. This is in a commercial industrial shop application and there is not a good place to put switches to stay under 300 feet. Wireless could be an option but I don't really want to deal with outdoor antennas, etc.
