So I recently had the fan go out on my 3 year old 7900gt but thankfully it is XFX and has a lifetime warranty. But after getting everything set up and my card replaced, they sent me what I think...MAY be a decent replacement with a 9500gt but...sent me a low profile card without a bracket or anything to switch it over, and couldn't go dual video any more even though I told them that is one of the things I use it for, but just wondering if these two would be a solid replacement in case they replace it with the same exact thing but has a standard profile bracket.

my old 7900gt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and the new one they sent me (I believe is this one) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... minus the vga port and standard profile bracket

9500GT is slower than a 7900GT in gaming, so consider another card if you want to play games

9500GT is not far of according to this list http://www.overclock.net/graphics-cards-general/502403-... But it is lower on the list and they should replace by equal or better according to policy.

That list actually has the 9500GT higher than the 7900GT 256mb. BUT I do think the card on the list is likely the DDR3 version of the 9500GT. If they sent you a DDR2 version like the card you linked then it is probably a slight downgrade.

it was a low profile with only the DVI and svideo so all their models like that were ddr2. So they had to, I will make comments in the support post with them.
