I have a Sony Vaio that I spilt a glass on wine on and now I cannot access my da

A friend of mine spilled wine on his Sony Vaio, the really small one with an SSD drive, and he needs to get the data from that drive. Does anyone know how to achieve this? It is an emergency as there are critical business files there.

Pull the drive out and use a sata to USB adapter to access.the data.
