Sandy Bridge? That would be the closest one to us.
Its basically replacing everything except the 17-900s, new socket called 1155, ~30% performance improvement per core/Ghz, and should be out before the years end.

Theres a decent amount of information out already, heres a link to get started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Bridge_%28microarchi...

It is said the north bridge and integrated graphics will be combined with the new processors, not like simply attaching them on one clip in the core i processor now.

It appears that AMD is also doing the same thing I wonder if it will really improve the Graphics performance.

I hope so. Does anyone know when they'll release examples for developers?

Both AMD and Intel has already released samples for Motherboard vendors months ago, so they would have the time to build on the new CPUs and create a stable platform when the CPUs come out.

Much is to be expected from AMD Llanos and Intel's SB, so stay tuned.. :hello:

AMD Ontario in a few more weeks..........cant wait for a new netbook!!!!!!!!! :bounce:
