Display problem

Hi, I am in kind of a pinch here. I don't know what happened. I just got a brand new tv tuner for my birthday. When I put it in and started up my computer, my tv display only show the BIOS menu and then the display signal of my computer dropped and now I can't get anything to show on my display. What seems to be the problem? There was one other thing, I forgot it was in sleep mode when I unplugged it earlier; would that have caused this problem? This has never happened to me before so I am kinda freaking out about it. Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated.

Start by resetting Bios and try again.
