Hello,im looking to put in a video card Ive seen some video cards saying 2.0 x16 and 2.1 x16 don't understand if there's a diffrence in fitting my computer or just performance. was looking at the radeon 5850 compared to radeon 5770. also was going for an corsair 750w psu

  1. Yes, HD5770 is come with 2 versions, one is HD5770 2.0 and the other is HD5770 2.1 version.

    Now, what is your motherboard? it has pcie slot, right? what version? 1.0? 2.0?
    If you have 1.0 version then get that HD5770 2.0.

    Many issues with 1.0 board running 2.1 cards...
    So, play safe, get that HD5770 2.0 version... :)
    Also make sure you have an enough power from PSU...
  2. Would the it be under Front-side bus (FSB) because ti says 2000MT/s (2.0 GT/s) because it only shows if that it's a pci express x16

  3. All the std ASUS boards with the same chip set have a PCIe x 16 version 1.x slot so it is recommended that you get a card with version 2.0.
