2TB showing up as 1TB??

My refurbished computer shows up as 1tb when it has 2tb hardrive


how could this be fixed??

    Do you have a 1 GB partition on a 2GB drive or a 1GB hard drive ?

    assuming Windows O/S
    go to Device Manager and see what it says about the hard disk,
    Googling model number will show details about hard disk

    Or Go to Computer Management then Disk Management

    what you do next depends on results

    either create extra partition in free space (2GB) (from Disk Management)

    or ask seller to provide a 1GB drive ?

  2. I have a 2 TeraByte harddrive

    when i go into disk management it says it only has 930 GigaBytes of space and theres no partition

  3. Your problem sounds very much like Gigabyte's BIOS bug. Perhaps the same solution will work for you.
