I installed my SSD today and of course set the thing to AHCI.
I finished everything and now I see this icon in the notification bar that appears when you plug in storage that lets you eject it and it shows me the SSD and even the old HDD that I use as storage. I asked someone who has a SSD too and he doesn't get the icon or option to eject the internal drives.

This is a screenshot:

What could I have done wrong? Did I maybe set the wrong option to AHCI?

You did not do anything wrong. Everything is fine.

What you see is a Microsoft Windows feature that allows you to plug in and unplug external devices while Windows is running.
