Hey guys, well this will be my first time attempting to build a PC. I have absolutely no experience with any process of building a PC other than all the research I'm currently doing, and I don't really know anyone who is experienced with this to ask them. So I would just like all your thoughts on this build as its nearly complete, and I need advice on whether I need to change some parts out and what parts to add in.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within about a month hopefully

BUDGET RANGE: $700-$1,000 Before rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Streaming Videos, Browsing Internet, Emulators, Homework

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Mouse, Speakers, (Might need a keyboard but honestly I can deal with that on my own later)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Wherever the best deal is, although I like the wide selection of newegg

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United States

PARTS PREFERENCES: Definitely want the Cooler Master RC 690 II, EVGA GTX 460 1GB, and I like the rest of the parts I have chosen already, but I will change if necessary.

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Don't know yet, open to suggestions

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Aesthetics are not really important here, would definitely rather have proper performance/reliability/low temps/low power output/easy install?. I'm currently using a Razer Megalodon headset which has a built-in sound card in it, do I still need to buy a sound card for my PC? Also I would like this PC to last me around 5 years comfortably, I know that is an extremely long time for some of you but thats how it is haha.

Also I'm not sure if I need more than stock CPU cooling or not since I'm not planning to overclock, however if i DO need an aftermarket cooler, which would be best for my build? I'm familiar with http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm however I'm not sure which one to pick out of the pack except for the fact I'd like to spend 60$ or less on a cooler IF i NEED it.

And finally I want windows 7 home premium 64 bit, but I dont know which to choose because newegg has alot of different ones and I dont exactly know the difference http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=windows+7+home+premium&x=0&y=0. Also what drivers/etc and such do I need to download beforehand, and do i need anything else?

Wow fast replies, thanks guys. Just curious here, whats the difference between the G.Skill RAM vs the Corsair RAM, because one of my buddies said he sees G.Skill RAM all over newegg but he's never seen it in a system, and Corsair is a good brand.

Also on the Windows 7, I heard that when installing 64 bit you need the 32 bit installed beforehand, is this true? If so is there a package that comes with that, because I'm coming from Windows XP 32 bit.

Alrighty awsome. Would you suggest an aftermarket CPU Cooler for this build or additional case fans, or are the stock ones fine if im not planning to overclock?

Very nice! Also do you know if i need a sound card, because I have a Razer Megalodon headset and it has a built-in sound card..but i dont know if i still need one in the PC.

Do I need to prepare anything on a flashdrive beforehand? I've heard you need drivers and/or BIOS downloads prepared.

And could you recommend any good monitors? Preferably 20"-24" for less than $200?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a total newbie heh. ;)
