An upgrade is a good idea. The 9500GT is about the bare minimum necessary to play current games smoothly at a low resolution. Even something fairly cheap like the HD5670 will be nearly twice as powerful and give you DX11 compatibility.

9500 GT is not at all a good card, i think get a good card, for future proof games, atleast buy GTS 250.
