If you see any spots where something else might work better, or if you think you can trim the budget, feel free to comment.

I'd love to know what kind of headsets people are using because I'm having a hard time finding any decent ones without spending $70+ dollars which seems a tad pricey just for a decent headset.

What makes the other RAM better?

The extra $20 for a glass panel case isn't bad I think considering the combo deal it came with. At this point, I really just want suggestions for solid peripherals. I have the ones above because I've seen a friend or two using them and liked them, but I'll definatly go with cheaper stuff if it's a significantly better value.

Finding a mouse is proving to be more diffcult for me than I'd thought. I prefer generally slimmer styles but I don't particularly like leightweight models either. Any suggestions?

Nope, never heard of that, but I'm sure it could be done. Not really sure how you would go about it though, and still maintain a nice balance.

The RAM you picked is 1600 MHz CL8. The RAM I linked is 1600 MHz CL7. In general, the lower the CAS Latency (CL) number, the better. Generally, I wouldn't suggest paying more than $5 or so to get tighter timings (lower CL), but since it's got lower CL and it's cheaper, I'd go for it.

I have the G15, so I'll second that suggestion. I really like it. No mouse suggestions from me...I'm still using a 5+ year old trackball that I love.

The screen looks fine, Asus appears to have pretty heavily invested in the monitor market and are turning out decent products.
