Building a pc for sc2

Hello, would this set up be enough for sc2 on ultra settings, 3v3. 785GM-P45 AM3 785G mATX Motherboard http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml... phenom 2 x2 555 be http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml... 4gb of ram. i think the cheapest. and any radeon 5770. please advise. im really new to this building a rig thing

like hunter said that will do. Being an AMD CPU fan myself (so not be taken as a fan boy) Intel & Nvidia do offer better performance in SC2 for your dollar, just an FYI

Yes you can, you can use a single card on any board with a PCI-E slot so you could put something like a GTX 460 on it which will give you even better performance.

gtx2 460 is out of my budget for around 150$ is the 5770 the best i could get?

read the sticky about how to ask for build advice.

as a tip, i can run SC2 on ultra settings at 1080p on my HTPC, which has an athlon II 635 and a 5770 and 3gb of RAM.

i would recommend going for a similar build. a dual core is no longer a good choice, since so many games will use more than that. either go for a triple or quad core athlon II.

if you fill the template and provide a budget, i can put something together for you.

at $150, the ATI 5770 is the best you can get for your dollar. a solid 500w (not a cheap one) will power your system. in fact its better to go with a solid 400w unit rather then a cheap 500w.
