Trouble booting dban from cd Tags: Hard Drives Computer Boot CD-Rom Storage Last response: November 12, 2012 2:27 PM in Storage Share turnereb November 12, 2012 2:06:17 PM I am trying to wipe my hard drive to get rid of an old computer. I burned dban to a cd and now trying to boot up my computer via cd to run dban. I entered bios and changed boot sequence to IDE CD-ROM device, saved changes and continued boot up. Got "strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility" and can't seem to get the computer to boot from the cd. Computer is a Dell Dimension 2400 running Windows XP. I appreciate the help!
