Motherboard-CPU compatibility

Im planning on buying the ASrock Extreme4 motherboard(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157250) and an Intel core i5-2500k Sandy Bridge(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072).

The CPU uses as sandy bridge, but the motherboard uses north bridge. Will this cause a compatibility issue?

That motherboard will work fine with that CPU. You're getting confused with the (outdated) name of a motherboard component (north bridge), and the code name of the processor (Sandy Bridge, basically a "name" for the designers to call it).
