[Desktop] Windows 7 doesn't recognise my external hard drive.

Today i took my brothers hard drive he wasn't going to use (he bought it and never opened it) and installed it in my computer. I already have a hard drive Western Digital Green 750 gb hdd but i installed a Western Digital Green 2 Tb HDD and my computer doesn't recognize it.

My specs:

CPU: Amd fx 8150
RAM: 8 gb patriot ram
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
GPU: Gtx 460
HDD 1 : Western Digital Green 750gb
HDD 2: Western Digital Green 2 TB.

Are they internal hdds? Check to see if you enable AHCI on the new hdd and if your mobo supports it.

1 more thing open up compmgmt.msc and go to Disk Manager. See if your drive is even show up there. Also check device manager if it's in there.

Didn't show up in disk manager or device manager. I dont know what ahci is or i dont know if it works/how i use it with a gigabyte motherboard
