More about router connected network
  1. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt.

    Type ipconfig/all

    Look for the word gateway.

Most (but not all) router brands have a default IP address of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
  2. If you're trying to get the external IP of the router (yes it has two, internal will be an RFC1918 address like 192.168.1.1) you can just hit up a web page that displays it... such as www.whatismyip.com
