So, is it as easy as attaching an SSD up as a logical device? because thats what it sounded like on their documents...

*bump* I am curious about this as well. Obviously running native SSD is the 'best' solution in most cases, but there are plenty of users where SSD caching is important as they have no concept of drive management and caching allows for a possible best of both speed and space.

turns out that adaptec's "hybrid raid solution" PDF was misleading, its impossible to have a hybrid raid that is not a raid 1 or 10 unless its max-cache, even though that pdf they advertise has a SSD in a raid 5 for scenario two, and nowhere do they say that it's only max-cache (on the document)... sigh...
