Triple monitors on a 5770?

so far iv just been using my 22inch Acer, but recently someone gave me two older Dell Monitors(i believe 15'')

so i plan on using CCC to make them all one huge desktop for gaming.

but im a little concerned, do you think a 5770 can handle that resolution without a huge drop in framerates? (its overclocked with about a 3+ fps)

i have to decide weather i want to do it now because ill need to buy a Displayport -Dvi adapter to hook up all 3 monitors

your acer will have to run at the resolution of those two dells, so i think you'll be fine.

You could also try a displayport-vga adapter to test out the config

ok i just found these two threads and im wondering if eyefinity will even work

my two dells are both VGA and my Acer is Dvi

you can get an active dp->dvi adapter. it'll cost about $100 though

wouldnt it be cheaper for me to just buy a whole other dp monitor?
and just not use one of the dells? do you think i could get a 15" dp monitor for 100$ or less?

ok thanks. i guess ill buy it but im a little concerned because its only 25$ while all the others are 100$. so im hoping it actually is active and not just a regular adapter

if it is vga then it doesn't have to be active as long as the resoulution is less the 1920x1200
