Laptop memory questions

Hello,

Will a DDR3 204 pin memory card work on a DDR3 200 pin set up that my laptop currently has installed?

Welcome to Tom's Forum!

PC DDR3 = 240 pins, Laptop DDR = 200 pin, Laptop DDR2 = 200 pin, and Laptop DDR3 = 204 pin.

So absolutely NEVER mix DDR2 in a DDR3 Slot OR visa-versa! What Laptop do you have now?
