the GT 230m is the better GPU. that being said WoW also likes a fast dual core so make sure the cpu is up to task and keep the shadows "off"

are you planning to also use the laptop as a work computer also? the first one you listed is faster even with the lesser GPU.

if you plan to get a new laptop within two years, the GT230 is fine.

i would go with the i3-350 CPU if you plan to keep it longer.

the extra ram will help on wow alot, especially for helping to get good smooth draw distances while flying. but in instances and raids the extra ram won't make a difference. so kinda depends what you do most.

personally I'd go with the nvidia build with 1G ram for graphics

but yea the cpu on there isn't much but then agian wow isn't super cpu intensive, it'll play fine with high setting you just probably won't be running in ultra with either of those

a faster gpu with a larger memory bus helps on draw distance with the GT230m; not extra RAM. GT230m can come with 5GB of RAM, it won't help any on draw distance. too many people go to the best buy school of how graphic cards & integrated graphics work.

the ATI 5650 is a better GPU then either of the previous two you listed. The i7 is also a better CPU and can be used in turbo mode to reach 2.8ghz (just make sure its plugged in since it will drain the battery asap).

depends on many things including the server, your connection, monitor resolution, and how many other toons are on screen. with that set up it will be playable at high levels (but i would still keep shadows off)

That's a pretty good one I'd pick it up if I were you. The i7 core is nice, the GPU is quite decent... has bluray, win 7 64 bit, Office... yeah. Pretty decent. Definitely will handle WoW (Heck, I played WoW just fine on an 8600GT lol)

i played WoW on an athlon XP 2.0ghz, ATI 200m xpress IG, and 512mb system RAM.....way back when...I did upgrade the RAM to 1.256GB

I still have that laptop although I have not used it in a long long time.
