Old hard drives

my comp crashed with a blue screen and now wont even light up the blue light that is always on, even when off. so now im forced to buy a new one. if i keep the old hard drive and use it,will i still have to buy win 7? really dont care if it doesnt work and i have to end up spending the money.

If Win 7 is an OEM version it is licensed to the old MB. Not transferrable. Not to mention the old MB drivers and such saved on the old HDD that would cause many problems if plugged into a new system and you tried to boot with it.
