Changing from windows 7 to xp

how do i change my windows 7 laptop to windows xp t is a compaq cq50 that came with windows 7 or vista. i bought it used so i'm not sure

Installing XP to another partition of the hardrive should be very easy. ALTHOUGH after that, you cannot go back to windows 7 even though it has not been erased from the other partition because xp won't recognize it and overides dual boot and loads itself immediately. make sure you back everything up into the windows 7 partition then install xp to the empty one.
